In comparison, Bitdefender is known to outshine Avast in malware diagnosis rates and other areas of effectiveness, but it also provides a suite of advanced features that include a password director and VPN. You can also get a customizable dashboard that explains everything in one place. It might detect what you’re doing together with your device (watching movies, doing offers, etc) so that it can toggle certain ways to give you more privacy, or less proper protection when necessary.

On Android, the Bitdefender app is classy and incorporates RAM improving and anti-theft tools. This even offers a malware scanner and app freeze, so you will be guarded no matter what one does with your telephone or tablet. In contrast, Avast’s iOS iphone app is a lot more limited and only presents a few extras like an antivirus scanning device and gadget keeping track of prevention called AntiTrack.

Both programs contain good support hubs, but Bitdefender’s is more robust and contains live chat and a knowledgebase that is updated on a regular basis. You can also get in touch with their support team by simply email or phone you need to speak to an individual directly.

The Avast support method is mediocre, with poor customer support and a confusing online community that seems dated. Its best feature is the excellent knowledgebase, but that is not enough to offset deficiency of other support options. Their pricing divisions are also above Bitdefender’s, and it is often found to slow down your device’s functionality. This is not a problem for most computer systems, but some economical models will not be able to handle it.
